Overview

Entering into a long-term committed relationships can be a risk taking adventure. With marriage breakdown approaching 33% in British Columbia, it is important that individuals prepare for their relationship so that it has the potential to bring years of joy and fulfillment.

Prepare inventories are a wise investment in your present and future relationship. These inventories have been used by thousands of couples throughout North America to identify areas of strength and growth and to improve their communication skills.

The Prepare inventories are used in unique four-one hour sessions over a period of two months. Each couple sees a counselor for the administration and feedback of the results. The sessions are arranged at the convenience of the couple and are confidential and personal.

Goals of the Prepare, Prepare MC Program

  • Learn useful communication skills, including assertiveness and active listening.
  • Learn skills to resolve conflicts through the use of the Ten Steps procedure.
  • Explore a couple's relationship and their families of origin using the Couple and Family Map.

Boundaries and Rights
