Overview

"the ability to love requires the necessity to mourn."
                                                                    - Dr. Alan Wolfelt

Beyond grief is a ten-session workshop on coping with the adjustment and feelings associated with the loss of a loved one through death. It's a compassionate and sensitive look at the phases of grieving and mourning that we all face. As a practical and supportive program on the knowledge and skills that are essential on our grief journey, it will guide people to a realistic understanding of their loss and beyond. The program will be a safe place where people can feel comfortable with their emotions in a confidential environment.

The course is open to anyone and is helpful for someone trying to relate to a grieving family member or friend. The material is based on the international best seller, "Understanding Your Grief: Ten Essential Touchstones" by Dr. Alan Wolfelt published 2003.

The course fee of $100 covers twenty hours of creative instruction & class interaction over ten weeks. The course text, "Understanding Your Grief: Ten Essential Touchstones" and the "Understanding Your Grief Journal" is available from the facilitator or at the opening session of the program.
